We are so proud of the students at East Chester.  They worked very hard on the TCAP test.  We have had a wonderful year but it is quickly coming to an end.  We have a lot of great activities coming up in the last few weeks of school.

Kindergarten students are studying plants and seeds. They have sorted seeds, planted seeds, and watched them sprout.  Spring is a great time to study nature!  The Kindergarten Awards program will be held at Williams Auditorium on May 4th beginning at 2:00 p.m.

First grade students will be going on a field trip April 24th to Circle Y in Corinth.  They have also started their last Reading book.  Each story will deal with "great ideas" and problems to solve.

Second grade students had three days of TCAP testing last week.  They completed the week with Camp Read A Lot.  They played math fishing games, graphed trail mix, read books, and made smores.  They really deserved a reward after all of their hard work.

Third grade students had four days of TCAP testing.  They were really happy to get it behind them. They
also had a day of rest and relaxing learning during Camp Read A Lot on Friday.  The third graders went to see the play "Tom and Huck on the Mighty Mississippi" in Huntingdon on Tuesday.

Dates to Remember:
April 25--No school for students
April 29--Movie day @ FHU--"Ratatouille"
May 2nd --Field Day
May 7th--Third grade tours CCMS

We hope you enjoy the long weekend.  Remember Everyone Always Soars Together at East
