As the school guidance counselor at Chester County Junior High, I am committed to helping each student reach their full academic potential, as well as enhancing their social and emotional growth.  I am happy to work with parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure students adjust and succeed in junior high and beyond.  I welcome students who seek help on their own, as well as those students who are referred.

Students can sign up for appointments in the guidance office, by finding me in the halls during class changes or during their lunchtime.  I am available for drop-in meetings with students before and after school hours.  Students can also request an appointment by signing up on the counselor's appointment sheet located in the Guidance Office, between classrooms 14 and 15. Information shared with the counselor by the student is confidential within the legal guidelines established by the American School Counseling Association.

Counselors have standards to follow, just as classroom teachers do.  I plan to go into the classrooms for group guidance sessions covering orientation, school procedures, bullying and cyber-bullying, citizenship, dangers in drugs, alcohol and tobacco use, career exploration, and scheduling procedures.  I will also work with the 8th graders and their parents on the four-year high school plans.

The guidance office phone number is (731) 989-1948 or (731) 989-8135. Please feel free to call or email me with any questions or concerns. Records or requests by other school districts may be faxed to (731) 989-8137.

Ally Rogers, School Guidance Counselor

I graduated with a Social and Behavioral Sciences degree from Freed-Hardeman University in 1996 and obtained my Masters degree in School Counseling from FHU in 2009. I have taught 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th grades before becoming the School Counselor. I am married to Scott and we have three children, who attend schools in Chester County; Lauren is 13, Conner is 11 and Emma Caraline is 8. I enjoy traveling, swimming, photography, watching my kids play sports and being involved with Mid-South Youth Camp each summer. It is my personal goal to help each child know they are safe, secure, and accepted, that they are loved, that they have an adult they can trust and that they are never alone. I feel that I have the best career…I get to meet and help serve EACH student that comes into our school!
